Really hope everyone is ready to tackle this Monday and get your week kicked off right!
Wanted to share a few highlights from yet another great Sunday at Double Springs
*We officially welcomed the Holcombes to DS Church yesterday….DS style. I’m so proud of how our Church fam recieves folks. Truly Christ-like. I really believe God has some big plans for our new Associate Pastor and his family here in our community. By the way, several asked for their address…its 254 Fair Play Rd, Townville SC 29689
*We baptized yet again yesterday. It NEVER gets old to see someone radically saved and following in Baptism! Welcome to the fam, Eugene.
*It was awesome to finally kick off our Christmas Sermon Series, “RE-Discovering Christmas” yesterday morning! It’s been incubating for a long time now and I think Gods gonna really speak to us throughout the entire series so INVITE!
*The Choir did a great job yesterday leading us to worship the King while singing one of the songs from our Christmas musical! It’s a tough Cantata and ourfolks have been working hard on it SINCE AUGUST…thats right, August! So proud of them.
*As Usual, the Townville Parade was a hit. Special thanks to the Conyers for pulling our DS Church float.
*We were able to minister to, pray for and give food/warm blankets and coats to a ton of families who came to the Church for our “Love Our Community Giveaway” last night. Thanks so much to all who participated. Your generosity is awesome.
*A few months ago, we werent sure that fellow 2springer, Ronnie Smith, would ever open his eyes on this side of Heaven again. Yesterday, he was sitting on the front row. Only God can do that. We praise Him for his faithfulness!
*I’m reminded this morning as I pray over our church family that though It’s a running joke among Pastors that “We resign every Monday morning”…I don’t. I don’t have a “Holy Hangover” from Sundays and don’t dread the coming week. I LOVE our church and I sincerely believe that God is moving because I see it! That fires me up every day…including Mondays!
One Last thing – I love you all and Gloria In Excelsis Deo! – Pastor
